TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions are incorporated together in conjunction
with the client booking form. Hereinafter Minterne shall be referred
to as ‘ The venue ‘
1. Booking and Payment Schedule
An initial deposit of 50% of the overall cost will be required at the
time of booking the venue. This deposit payment is non-refundable in
any situation. A booking is deemed unconfirmed until the completed client
booking form and signed terms and conditions are received by the venue
along with the necessary initial deposit payment.
A secondary payment of the outstanding 50% of the overall cost will
be required one month prior to the event with the cost of any last minute
ancillary items supplied by the venue being payable 14 days following
the event.
Payment by credit card is not possible.
2. Cancellation
Cancellation may be made by the venue if the provisional booking is
not confirmed by the return of a signed copy of the client booking form
and terms and conditions along with the necessary deposit payment within
seven days of the provisional booking being made
The venue retains the right to cancel the booking without further consultation
to the client if payments are not received at the due times. Similarly
the venue retains the right to charge interest at a rate of 3% per month
or part thereof on any part of the booking fee that remains unpaid beyond
the due date.
The venue retains the right to cancel the booking by giving written
notice if the client breaches the terms and conditions or goes into liquidation,
becomes bankrupt or has a receiver appointed
The venue retains the right to cancel any booking without any liability
on its part in the event of any damage or destruction of its premises
by fire or any other causes, strikes, walk-outs or industrial unrest
or any other cause beyond the control of the venue
Cancellation by the client of any event must be made in writing and
charges shall be incurred as;
Between initial booking
and 6 months of the event taking place – No
refund of the initial deposit payment
Between 6 months and 3 months of the event taking place- Loss of the
initial deposit plus an additional £500.00 plus VAT
Less than 3 months of the event taking place – Loss of the initial
deposit plus an additional £1,000.00 plus VAT
The venue recommends the client takes out relevant cancellation insurance
3. General
The client shall be responsible for any losses or damage caused to the
venue and its contents by themselves or any of their guests or suppliers
whether wilfully or negligently and shall be liable for the cost of repair
and any replacement.
The venue recommends the client take out public liability insurance
and insurance against third party liabilities
The venue accepts
no responsibility for the property of its client and their guests /
suppliers including cars and the contents thereof parked
on the premises, clothing or goods deposited at the cloakroom or any
other items brought into the venue. Such items are brought entirely at
the owner’s risk.
The client shall be responsible for the good conduct of all guests at
the event and shall ensure that nothing shall be done which may constitute
a breach of the law or in any way cause a nuisance. In such circumstances,
the venue reserves the right to exclude any person from the premises
The venue cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage, death, injury
or consequential losses arising out of acts or omissions caused by the
client, visitors, guests or contractors before, during or after the event.
The number of guests attending the event must be given to the venue
seven days prior to the event taking place. This number should not exceed
the maximum capacity stated by the venue.
The venue does not permit any food or drink to be brought onto the premises
that is not provided directly by one of the venues approved caterers.
The owners reserve the right to lock the main house once the wedding
party has entered the marquee; for security reasons, access to the ensuite
rooms in the house will be by prior arrangement with the owners.
The venue reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and
may impose the use of a sound limitor be connected to any amplified music.
The venue only permits firework displays that are agreed in advance
of the event taking place. A charge will be made by the venue to cover
livestock removal and displays must be concluded by 10.30pm.
The venue does not permit smoking in any part of the house. Smoking
is permitted in the gardens only.
Statutory and regulatory requirements in respect of fire, licensing,
entertainment, health, hygiene and safety must be observed by the client
and their guests. The venue reserves the right to terminate any event
where there is a breach of these requirements without incurring any liability
in respect of such termination.
All contractors used directly by the client shall carry all necessary
insurances. Clients should ensure that contractors are made responsible
for complying with all Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety
of themselves, guests and others.
All electrical equipment brought into the venue should carry a necessary
electrical certificate
Press releases or any other material issued to the media must be by
prior written consent of the venue
The throwing of confetti is only permitted within the house itself
The sale of alcohol and all music must cease by 11.30pm and guests must
depart by midnight.
Any guests staying overnight on the night of the event are respectfully
requested to vacate the house by 11.00am the following morning
All personal items, flowers, presents etc must be removed from the venue
by 11.00am the following morning.
