Our food is our passion and we love to cook with fresh local ingredients as best we can.
We were honoured with the award of ’Best Dining Pub in Dorset’ in the Taste of Dorset awards in 2010 and then won it again in 2011 !
The menu is traditional with a modern approach, proper food. We offer a full menu at lunchtime and in the evening and of course snacks such as sandwiches, paninis, soup and ploughman’s at lunch.
Our butcher uses local farms in Dorset and across the borders in Somerset and Devon. The beef has been hung for over 21 days to give it its super flavour and the pork is mouth-watering.
Our fish has come a short way from Bridport and arrives fresh every morning, as does the bread from a nearby bakers, still hot when it arrives.
Below is a guide to what we offer. This changes regularly depending on new ingredients arriving, seasonality and what the fishing boats bring in.
